Cookie Policy
Last updated: 7 June 2026
Slipgap uses a small number of cookies and browser-storage items. Non-essential ones (analytics & advertising) only load after you accept them in the cookie banner.
Strictly necessary (no consent required)
- Session cookie (
sg_session) — keeps you signed in after you log in. HTTP-only and only set once you have an account and log in. - Local storage — your random player id, nickname, local best score, the ghost-racer toggle, and your cookie-consent choice. These stay on your device and are essential to make the game work.
Analytics (only with consent)
- Google Analytics (e.g.
_ga) — measures traffic and usage so we can improve the game. IP addresses are anonymized.
Advertising (only with consent)
- Google AdSense — sets cookies/identifiers to serve and measure ads. See Google’s advertising policies.
Managing your choices
On your first visit you can Accept all or Reject non-essential. Until you accept, no analytics or advertising cookies are set. You can change your decision anytime via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings, and control ad personalization at Google My Ad Center.
