Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 June 2026
This policy explains what personal data Slipgap collects, why, the legal bases we rely on, who we share it with, and the rights you have. Slipgap (“the game”, “we”, “us”) is operated by anologiq.
1. Who we are
The data controller and operator of Slipgap (slipgap.io) is:
- Ward Daily Ward János Richárd E.V. — sole proprietor (egyéni vállalkozó) registered in Hungary, trading as anologiq
- Registered address: 1185 Budapest, Poprád utca 17., Hungary
- Tax number (adószám): 48909770-1-43
- Contact: [email protected]
For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, use the contact above.
2. Data we collect
- Gameplay (guests): a random player identifier stored in your browser, your chosen nickname, and your runs (input traces, scores, timing) used to compute and rank results.
- Account data: if you register, your email address and a securely hashed password; if you link Discord, your Discord account id and basic profile (username, avatar); any avatar image you upload; and your equipped cosmetic items.
- Purchases: payments for cosmetics are processed by Paddle, which acts as merchant of record. We do not receive or store your card details — only the fact that an entitlement was granted.
- Analytics (consent-based): if you accept, Google Analytics collects usage data such as pages viewed, approximate (IP-derived, anonymized) location, device and browser.
- Advertising (consent-based): if you accept, Google AdSense uses cookies/identifiers to serve and measure ads.
- Technical & security: server logs including IP address and request metadata, used for security, anti-cheat, rate-limiting and abuse prevention.
3. Why we use it & legal bases (GDPR Art. 6)
- To run the game and leaderboard — performance of a contract / our legitimate interest in providing the service.
- Accounts & purchases — performance of a contract.
- Security, anti-cheat and abuse prevention — our legitimate interests in keeping the game fair and available.
- Analytics and advertising — your consent, which you give via the cookie banner and can withdraw at any time (see Cookie Policy).
4. Who we share data with
We use the following processors/services, each under their own terms:
- Google (Analytics & AdSense) — analytics and advertising, only after consent.
- Discord — only if you choose to sign in with Discord.
- Paddle — payment processing for cosmetics (merchant of record).
- Email & hosting providers — to send confirmation emails and to host the service.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
Some processors (e.g. Google, Discord, Paddle) are based outside your country, including the United States. Where data is transferred internationally, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the providers’ standard contractual clauses.
6. Retention
We keep account data for as long as your account exists and gameplay/leaderboard data for as long as needed to operate the game and its history. Security logs are kept for a limited period. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
7. Your rights
If you are in the EEA/UK, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any right, email [email protected].
8. Children
Slipgap is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data. Advertising is not targeted to children.
9. Security
Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, sessions use signed HTTP-only cookies, and we apply rate-limiting and anti-abuse measures. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
10. Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
